Access Mode is a non-profit organization supporting early stage tech along their entrepreneurial journey. Our mission is to provide entrepreneurs with personalized mentorship, access to capital and networks, and resources to help them build their businesses. Through a specialized accelerator program, we assist our cohorts of companies in developing their MVPs and achieving customer traction. Participants benefit from personal mentorship, expert guidance, access to a non-dilutive grant, and a robust support community, all tailored to their unique needs.
Role Description
The Marketing Associate plays a key role in bringing Access Mode's programs, events, and partnerships to life. This is an execution-focused role responsible for executing marketing initiatives, supporting event logistics, and ensuring high-quality visual assets are captured and organized across our work.
This role works in close partnership with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. They communicate clearly, take feedback well, and understand that in a small team, reliability and follow-through are everything.
This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of professional experience who is ready to contribute meaningfully from day one and genuinely motivated by the mission behind the work. This is a full-time, on-site position for a Marketing Associate, located in Denver, CO.

Salary: ~$48,000 (commensurate with experience)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, events, communications, or a related field
- Experience supporting events or campaigns from planning through execution
- Comfort working closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations or the startup ecosystem is a plus

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Execute marketing plans for programs, events, and campaigns from concept through delivery
- Draft and schedule marketing communications including event promotions, announcements, and audience-facing messaging
- Support email marketing and CRM tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Airtable, or similar)
- Maintain consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual standards across all channels
- Manage social media calendars and develop content that reflects and amplifies the Access Mode mission
- Create and publish engaging short-form video content across platforms (Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar)
- Shoot, edit, and produce video content independently when a dedicated videographer is not present
- Monitor social media performance, track engagement metrics, and use insights to inform content strategy
- Track timelines and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule
Events & Program Support
- Support planning and full execution of Access Mode events and programs, including:
- Event timelines and task lists
- Registration pages and confirmations
- Vendor coordination (venues, catering, AV, photographers/videographers)
- Speaker logistics and day-of support
- Assist with post-event follow-ups and reporting
- Recruit, schedule, and coordinate event volunteers including day-of logistics and support
- Operate within established budgets and proactively flag issues early
Visual Assets & Content
- Plan and coordinate photo and video capture for events and programs
- Shoot and edit video content independently when needed, including event recaps, founder spotlights, and program highlights
- Create compelling short-form video for social platforms with strong instincts for pacing, storytelling, and audience
- Organize and maintain a shared library of visual assets
- Flag strong content for use across marketing, fundraising, and partner communications
Presentations & Sponsor Materials
- Assemble polished presentation decks for events, programs, and leadership use including agendas, overviews, and impact highlights
- Support sponsor logo placement and accuracy in all event materials
- Review all materials for clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment
Leadership & Executive Support
- Support the Chief of Staff and leadership team with preparation for high-visibility moments including speaking engagements, partner meetings, funder conversations, and key events
- Proactively anticipate needs, identify gaps in materials or timelines, and help keep leadership priorities moving forward
- Serve as a dependable execution partner: when leadership sets direction, you make it happen
Design Tools & Digital Platforms
- Create and edit design assets including event flyers, social graphics, and presentations
- Use tools such as Canva, Google Slides, and basic Adobe tools
- Manage event and marketing platforms (e.g., Eventbrite/Humanitix, Zoom, Google Sheets)
- Coordinate with external designers and vendors as needed

- Writing and Editing: Strong command of written communication. You can write clearly, edit with care, and adapt your voice for different audiences and formats
- Organization and Project Management: Able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintain timelines, and deliver without being chased
- Attention to Detail: You catch things others miss in copy, in design, and in logistics
- Communication: Clear, professional, and proactive. You ask the right questions upfront and keep stakeholders informed without being prompted
- Coachability: You receive feedback openly, implement it quickly, and see it as part of growth rather than criticism
- Social Media: Demonstrated ability to grow and engage an audience across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar). You understand what performs and why
- Video Creation: Comfortable shooting and editing video independently. You can take raw footage and turn it into content that connects with an audience
- Collaboration: You work well with others and bring a service-oriented mindset to supporting a small, high-trust team
- Adaptability: You can shift priorities without losing momentum and find your footing quickly in dynamic environments
- Mission Alignment: You understand that behind every deliverable is a founder who needed a door opened, and that context shapes how you show up
