Responsibilities
● Lead the implementation of community engagement strategies for project-specific work (e.g., research studies, disease-specific awareness, focus groups).
● Ensure that community engagement plans are culturally relevant, accessible, and responsive to members’ needs.
● Translate business goals into actionable community initiatives with measurable outcomes.
● Align project plans with timelines, budgets, and success metrics across internal and external stakeholders.
● Manage and coach a team of diverse roles and backgrounds.
● Serve as a visible leader to external partners, community stakeholders, and collaborators.
● Oversee team workload distribution, set project expectations, and build systems to ensure accountability and learning.
● Work with community operations to develop training tools, SOPs, and onboarding materials to grow team capacity.
● Liaise with research sites and clinical partners to ensure community-informed execution of study awareness and potential enrollment.
● Collaborate with marketing, product, and data teams to optimize engagement based on community insights.
● Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform both project delivery and business development.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in public health, clinical research, communications, or related field
● 6–8 years of experience in community engagement, public health, clinical research, or social impact strategy
● 2–4 years of experience managing direct reports or project teams
● Experience executing engagement initiatives tailored to diverse or underserved populations
● Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, including study recruitment, GCP, and regulatory compliance
● Proven ability to design and execute community-centric projects with measurable outcomes
● Exceptional project management skills with comfort managing multiple priorities
● Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team coaching abilities
Nice to haves:
● Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), or equivalent certifications
● Experience developing or scaling community programs tied to research, wellness, or advocacy
