As the Head of Community, you’ll lead the strategy, growth, and operational execution of Acclinate’s NOWINCLUDED community ecosystem. You’ll sit at the intersection of community trust, health engagement, and customer and community partnerships, ensuring our community infrastructure delivers measurable impact for both community members and industry partners. The ideal candidate brings deep experience within the healthcare ecosystem, with strong familiarity across pharmaceutical organizations, clinical research, patient engagement, and advocacy/civic organizations. This individual must be equally comfortable building trusted community relationships and advising healthcare partners on how to engage communities in authentic, ethical, and culturally-relevant ways. You’ll lead a cross-functional team responsible for community growth, engagement, partnerships, and in-person activations, connecting community members to trusted health information, screening opportunities, and clinical research participation.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy that aligns with Acclinate’s mission, values, and business objectives.
- Identify key community segments, develop tailored engagement plans, and set measurable goals that align with community growth and engagement priorities.
- Serve as a bridge between Acclinate’s community engagement team and healthcare partners, including pharmaceutical companies, clinical research sites, advocacy groups, and other relevant organizations.
- Build and nurture relationships with community members and trusted messengers (e.g., ambassadors, local influencers, partners) to build affective trust and raise awareness of NOWINCLUDED.
- Translate partner priorities into community-centered experiences that drive trust, education, and participation.
- Advise internal stakeholders and external partners on best practices for authentic community engagement and culturally relevant health education.
- Design and lead scalable community experiences and activations that drive community participation, health education, and clinical research engagement.
- Support activations that connect community members to clinical research opportunities and improve diverse participation in clinical trials.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for community partnerships, engagement experiences, and in-person activations.
- Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and operating rhythms to ensure flawless execution of community initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze community engagement and health action metrics, including community growth, participation, mobilization, and partner outcomes.
- Translate community insights into actionable recommendations for both internal strategy and relevant external stakeholders.
- Report on community impact, engagement performance, and strategic growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience across healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, patient engagement, or community health initiatives, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role and working closely with senior leadership.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MHA, MS, or related) in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Sciences, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Candidates with degrees in life sciences, clinical research, or behavioral sciences combined with relevant healthcare or community engagement experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful community engagement programs that drive measurable health outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem with experience working with pharmaceutical companies and research organizations.
- Familiarity with the clinical research and drug development process, including the role of community engagement in clinical trial participation.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across diverse communities and healthcare stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to operationalize programs and experiences.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with product, marketing, commercial, and customer success teams.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced environments, startups, and/or agency-based work, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex health topics into accessible, community-centered messaging.
- Familiarity with community management tools, CRM platforms, and social media.
Salary
$100,000 - $115,000 per year
