This fast-growing, remote-first startup is building modern software for accounting and bookkeeping firms. Rather than serving individual small business owners, they enable the firms that support those businesses, streamlining how they manage client work, team collaboration, and communication. The platform helps firms catch accounting errors, deliver cleaner reports, and scale their operations more efficiently. Following a successful Series A fundraise, they are expanding rapidly, with a focus on building a world-class sales team to drive continued growth across North America.

Role Summary

  • AEs are responsible for closing 15–20 deals/month, managing a mix of inbound demos and 20% self-sourced outbound pipeline.
  • Pricing is based on per-client usage ($10/client/month), so initial deals may start with only a small portion of a firm’s client base. AEs collaborate with CS post-sale to expand the account.
  • Sales process:
  1. 30-minute product demos with 5–10 mins discovery + 15–20 mins product walkthrough
  2. Smaller firms often close after one call
  3. Larger firms may require multi-step sales cycles and post-tax-season follow-ups

Ramp structure:

  • 2 weeks of training
  • Month 1: 25% quota
  • Month 2: 50% quota
  • Month 3: 100% quota
  • Underperformance in ramp may lead to early dismissal
  • Growth opportunities include promotion to higher AE tiers after 12 months and potential team lead/manager roles as the team scales to 20–30 AEs by year-end.

Compensation & Structure

  • OTE Range: $110K–$150K (uncapped commission)
  • 60% base / 40% variable typical, negotiable during offer stage
  • SMB AE Tier: $110K–$130K (1–2 years experience, often promoted SDRs)
  • Mid-Market AE Tier: $140K–$150K (2+ years experience)
  • Equity: Standard offer is 150 shares
  • Full-time, remote, no geographic territory restrictions
