Chief Technology Officer
We are looking to hire a Head of Engineering to join our fast paced team at Aftershoot!
Technical Leadership: You would be responsible for providing technical leadership to the engineering team and ensuring that the team is aligned with the company's overall vision and strategy. You would be expected to lead by example and set high standards for technical excellence.
Product Development: You would be responsible for overseeing the product development process and ensuring that the team is developing solutions that meet customer needs and deliver value. This would involve working closely with product management to define product requirements and priorities.
Team Management: You would be responsible for building and managing a high-performing engineering team that is capable of delivering innovative AI-based solutions. This would involve recruiting and hiring top talent, setting performance goals, providing feedback and coaching, and ensuring that the team has the resources and support they need to succeed.
Technology Strategy: You would be responsible for developing and executing the company's technology strategy, including identifying new technologies and trends that can be leveraged to enhance the company's AI-based solutions.
Process Improvement: You would be responsible for continuously improving the engineering processes and practices to increase efficiency, quality, and innovation. This would involve identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and measuring the effectiveness of the changes.
Collaboration: You would be responsible for collaborating with other departments, such as product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure that the company's AI-based solutions are aligned with customer needs and market trends.
Stakeholder Management: You would be responsible for managing relationships with stakeholders, such as customers, partners, and investors, to ensure that the company's AI-based solutions are meeting their needs and delivering value.
Strong Technical Background: The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in AI, machine learning, software engineering, or a related field. They should be able to understand complex technical concepts and have a deep understanding of the latest trends and developments in AI technology.
Leadership Experience: The ideal candidate should have experience leading and managing a team of engineers, preferably in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. They should have a track record of building and managing high-performing teams that deliver innovative solutions.
Business Acumen: The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of business strategy and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives. They should be able to communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Product Development Experience: The ideal candidate should have experience leading the development of software products, preferably in an AI-first environment. They should have a good understanding of the product development lifecycle and be able to work closely with product management to develop and execute product roadmaps.
Experience with Agile Methodologies: The ideal candidate should have experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. They should be able to lead Agile teams and use Agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Strong Communication Skills: The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They should be able to articulate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Industry Experience: The ideal candidate should have experience working in the AI, machine learning, or data science industry. They should have a good understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the market.
