About The Role
We are looking for a Content Lead to join our dynamic marketing team. You'll be instrumental in shaping the company's content strategy and driving engagement through various channels.
We're seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a knack for crafting content that captivates and resonates with our audience.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create quarterly KPIs and goals for the content team.
- Build the Aftershoot blog into a premier hub for photography education and industry insights.
- Oversee in-house or freelance writers and editors to scale content production for the Aftershoot Blog and monthly newsletter.
- Ideate, create, and publish templates, guides, ebooks, and more that would help achieve the content KPIs and target goals.
- Forge tight-knit collaborations with internal teams, including marketing, design, and product, to ensure content echoes our brand messaging and objectives.
- Work hand in hand with our product marketing team to generate content spotlighting Aftershoot and its tailored features for professional photographers.
- Coordinate seamlessly with our performance marketing and social media squads to synchronize content endeavors with paid media and organic social strategies targeted at professional photographers.
- Leverage data and analytics to gauge content performance, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and refine our content strategy accordingly.
- Oversee content calendars and workflows to ensure punctual delivery of content projects and campaigns.
- Create and maintain a unified content calendar in collaboration with social media and video teams to strategically amplify key messages across channels for maximum impact
- Ensure brand voice consistency across all content channels while adapting tone and style to suit each platform's unique characteristics
- Nurture and fortify relationships with external partners, influencers, and industry authorities to amplify the reach and resonance of our content.
- Develop channel-specific content guidelines and best practices to maintain quality standards across all platforms
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to generate fresh ideas and approaches for content initiatives.
- Continuously refine and enhance our monthly content marketing newsletter to better engage and cater to professional photographers.
- Bring 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, writing, editing, journalism, or a related field.
- Possess exceptional storytelling prowess, able to craft content that not only grabs attention but also inspires action.
- Understanding of product-led content and SEO fundamentals
- Demonstrate proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive content decisions and deliver tangible results.
- Showcase experience in managing cross-functional teams and orchestrating impactful content campaigns through collaborative efforts.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with an unwavering commitment to quality and attention to detail.
