Description
The Maintenance Controller acts as the central point of contact for all MX issue coordination. They ensure company aircraft are maintained on and off site in compliance with all regulatory requirements for Airshare. They are responsible for contacting and arranging maintenance personnel to clear aircraft discrepancies and return aircraft to service in a timely and effective manner. The Maintenance Controller is appointed and empowered by the aircraft certificate holder’s Director of Maintenance to conduct designated functions of the DOM office. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with all company policies as outlined in the Executive Airshare Part 135 Operations Manual and General Maintenance Manual, including all reports required by FAR 135.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Facilitates interdepartmental communication pertaining to AOG aircraft and deferred MX issues to ensure that all concerned parties stay informed.
- Reviews MX tracking software Due List and MEL/NEF/CDL deferred items to ensure the aircraft MX release in the scheduling program is current, and that Time/Date/Cycle critical aircraft are reported on.
- Works with Shop supervisor, Scheduling and QA to keep Maintenance tracking software up to date and accurate.
- Works harmoniously with the DOM, Pilots, Flight Operations, Maintenance and Scheduling personnel.
- Provide technical guidance to flight crews while determining how to handle an aircraft discrepancy in the safest and most efficient manner
- Schedules and coordinates away from base AOG maintenance with vendors and ensures that all personnel working on the aircraft are in compliance with FAR requirements. This includes being qualified to perform MX on a given aircraft as well as meeting Drug/Alcohol testing requirements.
- Is responsible for ensuring Maintenance is properly documented and any relevant documents are complete and onboard aircraft prior to departure.
- Is responsible to ensure that all parts and required tooling are shipped in a timely manner to support AOG aircraft.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have an A&P Certification and 5 years of mechanic and/or Supervisory experience with Turbine powered aircraft.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, time management, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail is critical.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Some travel required. Willingness and ability to spend periods of time at Wichita base, other company locations during initial training period.
- Schedule Flexibility - MX Control provides 24/7 AOG support via an on-call schedule rotation for weekends and nights. On-Call weekend bonus included.
- Previous Maintenance Control, Phenom, or Challenger 300/350, 560XL experience is highly valued but not a requirement.
