Alexi is Toronto based VC ($15M Series A) funded AI LegalTech company building tools and technology to solve problems for lawyers and litigation professionals . We are on a mission to transform the legal services industry by building cutting edge AI-powered solutions and our team is made of industry leading software engineers, AI/ML engineers, scientists, lawyers and designers.

We are currently looking to hire a Lead Full Stack Engineer/ Tech Lead to report into our Director of Product Development and lead a small team of engineers with building and improving our current product.

It is expected the successful Lead Full Stack Engineer/ Tech Lead will be responsible for the following on a day to day basis:

  • Build, enhance, improve current product
  • Work on new and existing applications and products
  • Identify and influence improvements in the team
  • Implement and lead best practices
  • Clear tech debt
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives and testing practices
  • Manage and lead the team on a day to day basis
  • Collaborate closely with Director of Product Development
  • Support existing team through code reviews and mentorship
  • Leading standups/ sprints
  • Bug fixes and improvements to products
  • Build new features
  • 70%-80% hands on coding

It is expected the successful Lead Full Stack Engineer/ Tech Lead has experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience as a Lead Full Stack Engineer/ Tech Lead or a similar role
  • Ruby
  • Ruby on Rails
  • React.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
