Bravo CPG provides fractional operations support to early- and growth-stage, rapidly scaling CPG companies. We serve as an extension of our clients' teams, helping them keep daily operations running while working to build strong, scalable processes in three key areas: operations, logistics and supply chain. We are focused on supporting food, beverage and beauty brands with ~$1M-$25M in revenue, but also support pre-revenue brands and brands as large as $250M.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Director of Operations at Bravo CPG, you will act as a part-time COO for 3-5 early-stage food, beverage and/or beauty brands. You will manage teams of 0-2 junior team members per client, and should expect to focus the majority of your efforts on the strategic elements of client SOWs: strategic planning, demand planning, production planning, inventory management and 3PL management.
You will be the key point of contact for your assigned clients and will partner with them to develop critical operations infrastructure and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and efficiently. List of responsibilities will vary by client, but will be clearly defined in each scope of work.
We are looking for operational leaders who are passionate about food, beverage and/or beauty. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to think strategically and the desire to continuously improve the people and processes around him/her.
This is a fully remote, contract (1099) position. Travel is occasionally required, but will be infrequent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 3-5 client accounts, simultaneously; you will own the client relationships and will be responsible for onboarding, client retention and off-boarding (when necessary)
- Act as COO for your assigned clients; own strategic planning, demand planning, production planning and inventory management. Own key client relationships with co-manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs and other strategically important partners
- Maintain clear and effective communication between client operations, sales and finance teams
- Manage client budget and ensure efficient use of client team labor hours
- Leverage junior team members assigned to your clients to ensure the timely and efficient execution of all daily operational tasks in the SOW
- Contribute to the professional development of junior team members through training, informal mentoring and performance reviews for those assigned to your clients
- Identify and implement systems, processes and tools that improve operational efficiency
- Execute tactical responsibilities, when necessary. Examples: compile inventory reports, place POs, schedule freight shipments, review/audit invoices for accuracy
Sample Client Scope of Work:
- Build demand plan and outline production requirements for the next 6 months
- Source and procure ingredients and packaging supplies; negotiate pricing & terms
- Manage production POs through to completion
- Coordinate movement of finished goods (domestic & international freight)
- Handle order fulfillment and track POs (purchase orders) from receipt to fulfillment
- Act as main POC for 3PL, warehouse and co-manufacturer; manage partners to achieve goals and standards that have been set
- Compile weekly inventory reports & error reports (% shipped & delivered within SLA)
- Review/audit invoices from logistics partners for accuracy; build / maintain dashboard to visualize costs and trends
- Build additional tools that visualize performance against operational KPIs (e.g. COGS, % on time delivery, etc)
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in operations, logistics and/or supply chain
- 5+ years working with food, beverage or beauty brands
- Experience as operations lead (senior person on operations team) at a company with $1m+ in revenue
- 3+ years of demand planning & production management experience
- 3+ years of managerial experience
- Strong excel and data analytical skills
