The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Manager to support and optimize Sun Home’s global supply chain, logistics, and inventory operations for a multi-channel business. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for executing day-to-day operational functions including purchase order placement and management, inbound and outbound logistics coordination, inventory control, 3PL performance monitoring, and data reporting.

Responsibilities

Purchase Order & Supplier Coordination

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders with global suppliers to align with provided demand forecasts and inventory targets.
• Track order status, lead times, and shipment milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to resolve delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate product and order data in ERP or tracking systems

Inbound, Outbound & Reverse Logistics

• Oversee the movement of goods from international suppliers to U.S. warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
• Partner with 3PLs and freight carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries and returns processing.
• Monitor shipment exceptions, delivery issues, and damage claims, escalating as necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce shipping errors, cost per order, and transit time.

Multi-Channel Outbound Order Management

• Manage daily order flow between eCommerce & partner systems and 3PL fulfillment platforms, ensuring all outbound orders are processed promptly and accurately.
• Ensure shipping and handling compliance to B2B customer requirements.
• Track and manage backorders, coordinating with suppliers and 3PL to provide updated lead times and expected ship dates.
• Communicate order or inventory exceptions to the Customer Experience and Sales teams for proactive customer updates.
• Review fulfillment SLAs and order-to-delivery timelines to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Ensure fulfillment accuracy through periodic audit checks and alignment of order data across systems.

3PL Performance Management

• Manage service level performance (accuracy, timeliness, customer satisfaction) across multiple warehouse locations.
• Audit inventory counts, receiving accuracy, and outbound fulfillment KPIs.
• Collaborate with 3PL contacts and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or performance gaps.
• Provide feedback and reporting to the Director of Operations on vendor compliance and opportunities for improvement.

Inventory Control & Reporting

• Track inventory levels, safety stock, and product turnover to ensure adequate availability across fulfillment centers.
• Reconcile inventory records between systems and warehouse data.
• Generate and maintain accurate inventory and operations reports for leadership review.
• Identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities through data analysis.

Data Analytics & Operational Reporting

• Create and maintain operational SOPs and training documentation to ensure continuity as the team scales.
• Produce weekly and monthly dashboards summarizing key metrics such as fulfillment accuracy, lead times, inventory health, and logistics spend.
• Partner with the Director of Operations to translate data insights into actionable process changes.
• Maintain documentation of SOPs and ensure consistent application across teams and vendors.

Special Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects to improve supply chain efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
• Assist in system implementations, process audits, and vendor evaluations.
• Collaborate across teams (Product, eCommerce, Sales, CX) to ensure operational alignment with company goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within eCommerce, DTC, or consumer goods.
• Proven experience with purchase order management, 3PL oversight, and inventory control.
• Strong analytical skills and reporting ability through data visualization tools (Excel/Sheets, PowerBI, AI data aggregation tools, etc.).
• Working knowledge of logistics software, ERP systems, 3PL platforms, and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Cin7, NetSuite, etc.).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Operates with balance and intention, bringing calm clarity and focus to dynamic situations
• Able to embrace continuous improvement and to adapt gracefully to change, fostering stability and growth.
