Operations Manager – U.S. Customs & Trade (Stealth Import Venture)

Location: Miami, FL or Laredo, TX (onsite preferred, open to remote)

Salary: Up to $120K | Full-time | Start date: December 1st

We’re working with a confidential, stealth-stage import startup that’s building a new kind of cross-border trade business connecting Latin America with the U.S., and expanding links to Europe and Asia. They’re looking for a U.S.-based Operations Manager who can take ownership of customs, logistics, and compliance, and help shape the operational foundation of a growing global venture.

This is a hands-on operations role for someone who understands the details of imports, bonded and non-bonded processes, duty-free and duty-paid trade, and the realities of working under shifting tariff and customs regulations. The right person will bring structure, ideas, and leadership to an evolving business.

You’ll manage end-to-end U.S. import operations, including customs compliance and vendor relationships, while evaluating the best IT and management systems to support trade and logistics. You’ll also work closely with the Latin America operations team to align sourcing, assembly, and shipments into U.S. entry points.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in U.S. imports, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance, ideally with exposure to China tariffs and free trade zone operations. You should be comfortable navigating trade complexities, leading vendors, and improving systems while keeping a practical, business-focused approach.
