We are conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a rapidly scaling healthcare organization committed to improving patient outcomes through operational excellence, innovation, and accessible care. The organization operates across multiple states with a focus on technology-enabled delivery models and quality-driven growth.
The Role
We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Operating Officer to oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and scale infrastructure to match the pace of growth. This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for translating vision into operational execution, managing a distributed team, and ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service quality across all functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all core operational functions, including clinical operations, patient services, revenue cycle, and compliance
- Develop and implement scalable processes that support high-quality care delivery and sustainable growth
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute strategic initiatives
- Build operational KPIs and reporting dashboards that ensure performance and accountability across departments
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between clinical, administrative, and technical teams
- Drive efficiency, consistency, and excellence across a multi-state and remote care delivery network
- Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance frameworks
What We’re Looking For
- 15 or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, with at least 5 years in a COO or equivalent role
- Track record of scaling operations in complex, multi-site or tech-enabled healthcare environments
- Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and payer-provider dynamics
- Strong financial and operational acumen, with experience managing P&L and optimizing cost structures
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead both strategically and tactically
- Excellent communication and change management skills
- Experience in value-based care, digital health, or population health is preferred
