As CTO, you’ll lead the design, development, and evolution of our decentralized financial platform/protocol and token ecosystem. You’ll build and oversee a global engineering team while making foundational decisions on architecture, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities:

Architecture & Infrastructure

1. Design and evolve our core platform architecture (modular, token-centric, protocol-fit)

2. Oversee smart contract design, audits, and mainnet deployments

3. Integrate AI/agentic systems for automation, underwriting, and P2P execution

Product & Protocol Development

1. Translate business needs into product specs, tokens, and protocol mechanics

2. Build out our Bitcoin and RWA tokenization stack + lending/payment rails

3. Optimize for mobile-first access across Africa and the global south

Team & Culture Leadership

1. Recruit, mentor, and manage a distributed engineering team

2. Establish engineering processes, dev ops, audit security, and documentation standards

3. Align tech vision with product, design, and community stakeholders

Innovation & Strategy

1. Lead research into AI x DeFi convergence, privacy layers, oracle design, and community governance

2. Influence tokenomics, incentive models, and DAO participation frameworks

3. Work closely with the CEO/Co-Founder on strategic priorities, hiring, fundraising, and partnerships

💡 You Might Be a Fit If You

• Have 7+ years experience in fintech, or 5+ years experience in web3

• Have deep hands-on experience with smart contracts, DeFi protocols, and Web3 infrastructure.

• Are a systems thinker and protocol architect — you understand modularity, composability, and token ecosystems

• Have worked in or deeply understand RWA tokenization, asset registries, oracle problems, and off-chain/on-chain sync

• Have shipped Web3 or fintech products and led engineering teams at high-growth startups

• Understand the African economic context — its pain points, mobile-first behavior, and massive opportunity

• Are a strong communicator with high ownership, able to move between product, tech, and leadership contexts

• Bonus: experience with MCP, zero-knowledge proofs, and/or community-owned infrastructure models
