Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the structuring and flowdown of FAA and standards certification requirements to the equipment design team
• Provide guidance to the engineering team on specifics of demonstrating compliance with FAA aircraft requirements
• Be single point of contact on equipment and systems certification methods referencing and distilling FARs/ASTM standard
• Support commercial certification project design reviews and trade studies
• Support and guide design engineering team in required certification documentation
• Support establishment of qualified validation and verification process 
• Reports to Manager, Systems Engineering

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in commercial aviation certification programs
• Expert knowledge of G1 form for certification basis for Part 23-64 and special conditions
• Expert knowledge of G2 form for means/methods of compliance (Part 23-64, 33, 35, 36, 39)
• Expert in developing compliance matrices for Subparts B thru G
• Proficient with requirements database tools

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Successful FAA certification of TC or STC project compliant with Part 23 and/or Part 33
• Expert knowledge of ARP4761 and ARP4754
• Expert knowledge of Parts 25, 43, 91, and 135
• Expert with Jama requirements database tool
• Experience with electrified propulsion certification-intent projects
