Our Workplace team is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Sr. Project Analyst to support our Design and Build Team. This role will be responsible for managing and analyzing the financial aspects of design and construction projects for the Design and Build Team. This role involves developing and monitoring project budgets, forecasting financial performance, and generating detailed reports on project costs.

The analyst collaborates closely with project managers and finance teams to track and optimize project expenses, ensuring alignment with overall financial targets and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, the analyst provides insights into project performance through key financial metrics, offering recommendations to improve efficiency, address risks, and drive informed decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Project Analyst role will have a strong background in financial analysis and project management, particularly in environments where precise budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking are critical. They will possess advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive project success. This individual should have experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively influence project and financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to monitor and evaluate project costs, budgets and spending. Track project expenditures ensuring alignment with overall budget and financial targets. Perform monthly accruals and develop, track and report project forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, finance, and procurement to ensure project financial objectives are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all procurement, invoicing and budgeting for projects.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an analyst or project/program management role supporting construction projects


Preferred Qualifications

  • Finance experience with construction projects.
  • Understanding of finance and accounting practices for construction project accruals, capitalization and forecasting.
  • Strong system skills and an aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Diligent with extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work with little supervision.
  • Experience with the procure to pay process including reviewing and analyzing contracts, purchase orders and invoices.

  • Organizational budgeting and cost management
  • Expert proficiency in Excel (additional expertise in SmartSheets preferred)
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Ability to understand complex processes, identify potential solutions and implement improvements
  • Work with stakeholders across multiple geographical locations and time zones.

The pay range for this role is $106,000 to $172,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
