Job Description

AppliedVR is looking for a mission-driven Regional Business Director (RBD) with a passion for transforming healthcare through innovative technology, to support both the Commercial and VA/DoD sales efforts of AppliedVR. The RBD will be responsible for leading, coaching, and partnering with a team of 5-7 Territory Sales Managers to help drive the adoption and growth of RelieVRx® across an assigned area.

Roles & Responsibilities (are not limited to the following):

  • Manage a team of multi-state Territory Sales Managers to achieve sales objectives and drive territory growth
  • Hire, coach and develop Territory Sales Managers through onboarding, regular field rides, 1:1 conversations, training, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Document and deliver regular field coaching reports to capture observations, provide visibility into field execution, and reinforce alignment with Sales Leadership
  • Partner and collaborate with the VP of Sales, Director of Government Services, and area 1099s to align area-level execution with national and VA/DoD sales strategies and revenue targets
  • Translate broader sales strategies into clear, actionable plans for each Territory Sales Manager
  • Monitor trends, forecasts, and key performance indicators to proactively identify opportunities and performance gaps
  • Provide regular updates to sales leadership on performance, pipeline health, market dynamics, and forecast accuracy
  • Serve as a key field voice to the broader team; partner with Marketing, Patient Services, Manufacturing and the Executive team to share insights and feedback to inform strategic decision-making
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with providers, stakeholders and decision-makers within each territory
  • Support area-level budgeting and resource planning, including headcount needs and allocation of sales support resources
  • Participate in industry-related meetings/trade shows to promote AppliedVR and RelieVRx
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws

Experience & Qualifications Preferred

  • 8+ years of experience selling pain pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices in the United States
  • 4+ years of sales management experience leading direct line sales reps in multi-state region
  • Experience selling disruptive technologies and/or supporting the commercial launch of a new product or company
  • Expert-level understanding of the pain management market, with strong knowledge of applicable healthcare laws, codes, and industry policies
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution to consistently meet or exceed financial and qualitative goals
  • Experience within the VA/DoD is preferred but not required; veterans highly encouraged to apply
  • Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and self-prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Valid US Drivers’ License and ability to drive or take other modes of transportation for in-person field activities
  • Ability to travel at least 60-75% of the time; including overnight stays and working conferences.

Location

Northeast/East. Willingness to travel regularly within the regional area - with in-field activities occurring 3-4 days each week, with 1-3 days overnight weekly travel expected.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across all US locations. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant qualifications, depth of experience, skill set, certifications, training, education, and specific work location. The compensation packages may be adjusted based on candidate work location, due to differences in the cost of living for the given location.   • The total compensation package for this position also includes a competitive commission plan, car allowance, and equity compensation.
