We are now looking for a strong originator to join our high-performing team and take ownership of driving new business and managing key relationships within the broker and aggregator channels.

Position Overview:

The individual is responsible for driving new business and loan rollovers from origination through to indicative letter of offer acceptance. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong network in the broker market, excellent financial analysis skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will work closely with the CEO, Head of Origination (HoO), Chief Loan Officer (CLO), and the Underwriting team to achieve key targets and support the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Origination: Meet and exceed targets for new loan volume, loan rollovers, net interest margin (NIM), and fee revenue. Manage the deal-flow from opportunity identification to indicative acceptance.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with brokers, aggregator groups, direct referral partners, and key service providers (valuers, lawyers). Attend industry events (MFAA, CAFBA, FBAA) to expand the network and enhance Arch Finance’s profile.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Market Arch Finance’s products to brokers, advisors, and aggregator groups, and actively promote the Qualitas Senior Debt Fund loans.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Head of Origination, CEO, CLO, and the underwriting team to drive business success, provide deal structuring assistance, and share knowledge and training with peers.
  • Internal & External Communication: Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, presenting complex information in a clear, concise manner to aid decision-making.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong skills in financial analysis, credit assessment, risk pricing, and deal structuring.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal teams, including senior leadership, and external partners to achieve common goals.
  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to influence outcomes, motivate teams, and demonstrate integrity and accountability.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to proactively build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a digestible and persuasive manner.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in finance, business, economics, commerce, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development or loan origination, preferably within the broker market, in either a bank or non-bank environment.
  • Proven experience in sales, deal origination, and loan execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of senior debt products, financial structuring, and the Australian lending landscape.
  • Existing relationships within the broker community and key aggregator networks would be highly advantageous.
