Asepha builds AI tools that automate and streamline medication workflows across the global pharmacy landscape. Backed by more than $4 million in funding and trusted by Fortune 50 healthcare organizations, we’re scaling quickly, and we need an engineer who can turn bold ideas into fast, reliable production systems.

𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
You’ll own critical pieces of our AI platform, from low‑latency inference services to integrations with external pharmacy software. Day‑to‑day you’ll be:
  • Designing and shipping production‑grade backend services that power our core products
  • Building and maintaining event‑driven data pipelines and real‑time APIs
  • Orchestrating large‑language‑model workflows, vector search, and GPU scheduling
  • Hardening systems for HIPAA‑grade security, observability, and high availability
  • Collaborating with pharmacists, product, and design to move from sketch to shipped feature in weeks, not quarters
  • Partnering with external pharmacy and health‑tech vendors to extend our reach

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐰𝐧
  • Architecture & implementation. Lead design reviews, write clean code, and mentor teammates.
  • Infrastructure. Manage CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CDK), and Kubernetes‑based deployments on AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Data & AI pipelines. Implement prompt, retrieval, and fine‑tuning workflows; optimize inference performance and cost.
  • Quality & compliance. Embed strong testing culture, logging, and auditing hooks that satisfy security and regulatory needs.
  • Tech roadmap. Evaluate tools, spike prototypes, and influence build‑vs‑buy decisions.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
  • 5+ years building scalable production systems (Python, Go, or similar)
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS or Google Cloud (EKS, Lambda, App Runner, or equivalents) and container orchestration
  • Solid grasp of data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, or columnar DBs) and streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, or NATS)
  • Familiarity with LLMs or ML‑adjacent services (vector DBs, embedding pipelines, transformers)
  • Track record of owning projects end‑to‑end in a fast‑moving environment
  • Clear, concise communication, able to explain trade‑offs to non‑engineers

𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐞‑𝐭𝐨‑𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬
  • Prior work on healthcare or fintech products with strict compliance needs
  • Knowledge of eRx or healthcare data standards (FHIR, NCPDP SCRIPT)
  • Front‑end chops (React/TypeScript) or DevOps tooling expertise
  • Experience integrating with third‑party SaaS APIs at scale
