Founding Business Development Representative (Enterprise, US)
Asepha
Asepha builds advanced AI tools that re-imagine how medications are prescribed, verified, and supported across the pharmacy ecosystem. Backed by $4M in funding and trusted by multiple Fortune 50 healthcare organizations, we’re scaling quickly and seeking a high-output BDR to build predictable pipeline with leaders across specialty pharmacy, payers, and hubs.
This is a front-line revenue role with high autonomy, direct access to leadership, and a product that solves real pain points. Your work will have a direct impact on improving pharmacy workflows and health outcomes.
Join our mission:
We’re building a world where medication delays are impossible. From the moment a prescription is written, the path to therapy start is clear, fast, and predictable. Asepha is the context graph for the therapy-start journey, connecting the fragmented steps that slow down medication access: intake, coordination, utilization management, and clinical services.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline creation: Identify, engage, and qualify enterprise prospects across specialty pharmacy, payors and hubs.
- Run high-output outbound: Build and iterate multi-touch sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone; test messaging, hooks, and offers based on conversion data.
- Conduct sharp discovery & qualification: Rapidly assess pain, use case, urgency, stakeholders, systems, and success criteria, then hand off cleanly to the CEO.
- Multi-thread enterprise accounts: Expand beyond one champion by mapping and engaging ops, clinical, IT, and finance stakeholders.
- Be a consultative operator: Learn to speak the buyer’s language. Quickly understand a prospect’s current workflow and translate it into a crisp value narrative.
- Keep CRM and handoffs tight: Maintain accurate notes, stages, next steps, account maps, and follow-up tasks so nothing slips.
- Turn events into pipeline: Support conferences/on-sites when relevant. Work the booth/meetings, qualify quickly, and convert conversations into scheduled follow-ups and opportunities.
- Execute with autonomy: Operate like a builder. Take ownership of your motion, improve the playbook, and deliver impact without heavy oversight.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in a BDR/SDR, lead generation, or similar customer-facing role (enterprise or healthtech preferred).
- Strong written + verbal communication. You can book the next step and work alongside the CEO to support business-case narratives and value propositions.
- Organized and consistent. You follow up, track details, and don’t let balls drop.
- Comfortable with fast-paced, startup environments; you move like an athlete and iterate quickly.
- You’re a resourceful operator who finds paths to meetings in complex accounts.
- Experience with healthcare/pharmacy workflows is a plus, especially with pharmacy, specialty and PBMs.
- Familiar with modern prospecting + sales tools: outbound/enrichment (Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist/Outreach/Salesloft), sales engagement, and strong CRM hygiene. Bonus but not required: basic familiarity with demand gen and content tools (LinkedIn Ads/Google Ads, Canva).
- Located in the USA, ability to travel frequently for customer on-sites and conferences.
Perks:
- Competitive compensation package, including $75-100k USD annual base salary + commission (on-target earnings for this role are expected to land around $200k) + stock options.
- Full medical, dental, vision
- Unlimited days off to maintain a healthy work-life balance + 2 weeks of company-wide office closure during the holidays
- Complimentary breakfast provided daily and weekly team lunches in the office
