We’re a Berlin-based startup on a mission to help suppliers decarbonize by securing financing from banks and incentives from buyers. Our ultimate goal? Making decarbonization seamless and accessible while driving meaningful climate action.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be the face of our platform in the Netherlands. Your mission is to connect with farmers, understand their challenges, and showcase the value of our solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Farmer Engagement:
- Travel to farms across the Netherlands to meet with farmers and build trust-based relationships.
- Conduct structured interviews based on an interview guide to gather insights about farmers’ needs and barriers to decarbonization.
- Educate farmers on how our platform can benefit their operations and help them achieve sustainability goals.
- Business Development:
- Pitch our platform to farmers, demonstrating its value in securing financing and incentives for decarbonization efforts.
- Build a pipeline of engaged farmers and convert them into active platform users.
- Act as a liaison between farmers and our internal teams, sharing feedback to refine our offering.
- Travel:
- Regular travel across the Netherlands to meet farmers on-site.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
- Has a background in agriculture or experience working closely with the farming community.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
- Is proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Has some sales or business development experience, with a proven ability to build trust and close deals.
- Shares our passion for sustainability and making a tangible impact.
- Is a freelancer or willing to work a few hours per week and can bill us for their time.
- Has a car and is able and willing to travel within the Netherlands as required.
