We are looking for an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to help shape Narvi's future.

This is not a traditional engineering role. We are looking for someone who combines outstanding

software engineering skills with technical leadership and wants to become one of the key people

responsible for our technology platform. You will work directly with the founders, influence technical strategy, remain deeply involved in implementation, and help build the next generation of our engineering organization.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain mission-critical banking infrastructure.

• Own the architecture of core payment and financial systems (SEPA – Centrolink, SWIFT)

• Write high-quality production code and lead by example.

• Drive architectural decisions with a strong focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Review critical pull requests and mentor other engineers.

• Lead technical initiatives across multiple services.

• Improve platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

• Design integrations with banks, payment providers, and third-party financial services.

• Participate in incident response and continuously improve system resilience.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Compliance, and Operations to deliver secure financial

products.

• Help recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team.

• Influence the long-term technical direction of the company.

We are looking for someone who

• Has 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Is an exceptional backend engineer with strong computer science fundamentals.

• Enjoys writing production code and solving difficult engineering problems.

• Has experience designing distributed systems and scalable APIs.

• Has led complex technical projects from design to production.

• Has mentored other engineers and naturally provides technical leadership.

• Makes pragmatic engineering decisions rather than chasing trends.

• Takes ownership and enjoys working in a startup environment.

• Communicates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is not a management-only position. We expect our Principal Engineers to remain hands-on,

write production code, lead by example, and solve the company's most challenging technical
