Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented individual to join our team as a Homeschool & Retail Partnerships Specialist. This is a remote-friendly contract position requiring approximately 30-40 hours per week, with a one-year initial term and the opportunity to extend or transition to a full-time W2 role. The ideal candidate brings a sales and business development mindset paired with strong operational follow-through. In this role, you will own two core revenue channels and be directly accountable for hitting growth targets within each. You will work closely with the CEO and should be available for regular virtual collaboration and occasional in-person touchpoints.
Responsibilities:
Homeschool Channel Management
- Own and manage relationships with homeschool grant and enrichment programs nationwide
- Research, evaluate, and activate new homeschool program partnerships and curriculum marketplace opportunities
- Manage product approval processes, platform uploads, and program compliance requirements
- Handle channel administrative functions including invoicing, payments, and accounts receivable across multiple homeschool program portals
- Lead BāKIT Box's vendor activation for the new federal homeschool marketplace launching in 2027, including managing the approval process, cultivating administrator relationships, and positioning BāKIT Box for strong visibility and revenue at launch
Retail Sales & Partnerships
- Own the full sales cycle for independent retail partners including museum gift shops and boutique retailers
- Execute outreach campaigns, manage email automations, and maintain ongoing retailer relationships
- Drive reorders, identify new retail opportunities, and expand the retail partner footprint
- Track pipeline, performance, and revenue outcomes for the retail channel
Revenue Ownership
- Set and pursue revenue targets for both the homeschool and independent retail channels
- Report on channel performance and proactively identify opportunities to accelerate growth
- Act as a true business owner for these channels, not just an executor
Events & Trade Shows
- Fully own and operate BāKIT Box's presence at homeschool conventions and retail tradeshows from start to finish
- Handle all event research, vendor applications, booth selection, and logistics coordination
- Manage pre-event preparation, travel, on-site setup, execution, and teardown
- Conduct post-event debriefs and maintain expense tracking for all events within scope

- Anticipating needs before they arise and staying three steps ahead
- Spotting market trends and partnership opportunities proactively
- Demonstrating agility in a fast-moving, early-stage company environment
- Prior experience working with homeschool programs, educational curriculum platforms, enrichment grant programs, or a similar education-adjacent company is a strong plus
- Bachelor's Degree or Business Certification required
