Role: Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Base Operations is building the world’s largest dataset of global threat patterns and street-level intelligence. We seek a curious, creative, critical thinker to join the analytics team to optimize our product further.
You are:
Proactive and excels working in small collaborative teams
A strong oral and written communicator, especially in a remote work environment
Detail-oriented, with an eye for data quality and finding anomalies
Imaginative with insightful data visualizations
Responsibilities:
Propose and evaluate new data opportunities to incorporate into the platform.
Provide analytical support and insights to the sales and customer success teams.
Optimize our data quality practices, including pipelines.
Augment our existing map data and enhance our geoanalytics offerings.
Be an eager helping hand with the ad-hoc projects that a start-up faces.
Requirements:
Proficient in Python and relevant analytics libraries (pandas, numpy, plotly, etc.)
Experienced in Python’s geospatial libraries (geopandas, shapely, H3, etc.)
Advanced SQL (PostGIS and Postgres)
Experience creating visualizations and articulating to stakeholders (plotly, streamlit, Looker etc.)
Bonus Skills:
Automation tools such as Argo workflows.
Data pipeline experience
Data science modeling
AWS infrastructure (S3, Athena, Glue, EMR, etc.)
Geospatial software, such as QIS
Good taste in Slack emojis
