We are looking to find a skilled Creative Style and Mood Annotation Specialist to join our growing team.
You will annotate high-level mood, tone and stylistic characteristics in video content. This includes assigning mood labels, genre cues and visual style descriptors that help train models to understand overall creative direction.
Responsibilities:
Watch full videos such as music videos, short films or adverts and assign primary and secondary mood tags including melancholic, uplifting, tense, dreamy, gritty, playful or nostalgic
Tag applicable genre signals such as drama, comedy, thriller, romance, horror, documentary or experimental
Annotate stylistic attributes including pacing (fast, moderate, slow), colour palette feel (warm, cool, desaturated, high contrast) and editing rhythm
Provide concise free-text notes summarising creative intent, emotional arc and key aesthetic decisions
Flag mixed-tone or ambiguous pieces and document reasoning
Requirements:
Strong media literacy and ability to interpret creative direction through visuals and audio
Comfort working with predefined taxonomies while adding concise qualitative notes
Ability to express subjective impressions in structured, consistent ways
Background:
Creative direction, film studies, media criticism, editing or branding work
Experience developing mood boards, visual briefs or style guides
Sample Test Task:
Given a 3-minute music video, assign mood and genre tags, describe visual style and editing rhythm, and write a short summary of the likely emotional impact on a first-time viewer.
Application Requirements:
Short explanation of how you define mood and tone in visual storytelling
Optional prior creative or analytical work involving visual media
Completion of the test task
Compensation
Per video analysed or per batch of pieces, with occasional hourly arrangements for exploratory work.
