We are looking to find a skilled Whisper and Non-Speech Vocalisation Actor to join our growing team.

You will produce controlled whisper recordings and non-speech vocalisations such as breathing, laughter, sighs, gasps and similar sounds. These recordings support models that require realistic non-lexical vocal behaviour.

Responsibilities:

• Record whispered versions of provided text with consistent loudness

• Produce a range of non-speech sounds including laughter types, sighs, gasps, hums and groans

• Control breathing noise and avoid distortion or clipping

• Organise takes clearly for easy identification

Requirements:

• Good control of voice and breath at low volumes

• Quiet recording environment suitable for whisper capture

• Quality microphone able to pick up low-level detail

Background:

• Voice acting, ASMR, audio drama or experimental vocal performance

• Familiarity with close-mic technique

Sample Test Task:

• Record several lines in whisper and a small set of non-speech sounds from a provided list.

Application Requirements:

• Short note on any prior work involving soft or intimate vocal recording

• Sample whisper and non-speech recordings

• Completion of the test script (task).
