Role Description:

Bevi is on a mission to disrupt the beverage supply chain and replace single-use water bottles with smart water machines. Thousands of companies use Bevi to sustainably provide their employees with pure, sparkling, and flavored water at work. As the market leader in IoT-enabled beverage machines, we’ve raised over $160M in venture capital and are growing rapidly. In addition to maintaining hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is investing heavily in new product development.

Bevi is seeking a Director of Operations Program Management to lead critical cross-functional projects, and manage a high-performing team, to support Bevi’s growth. Working closely with cross functional teams including Manufacturing, Logistics, Field Operations, Customer Care, Product, IT, and Finance, the Director of Operations Program Management is responsible for defining and implementing new programs and process improvements to increase customer service levels, reduce cost, improve supply chain visibility, and ensure operational readiness for new product launches and cut-ins. Typical program examples include:

  • Lead operational readiness for new product launches, ensuring tight communication and coordination across all Operations functions
  • Define and implement process improvements to Bevi’s end to end RMA and inventory disposition process
  • Define, propose, and implement a spare parts program to ensure that Bevi’s channel partners maintain appropriate inventory levels of critical replacement parts
  • Coordinate inventory deployments and track field adoption of critical machine retrofits
  • Define business case and provide recommendations for how to optimize Bevi’s product warranty strategy, and coordinate with cross functional teams to implement process changes accordingly
  • Coordinate operational readiness for Bevi’s expansion into new international markets
  • Lead a wide variety of high impact projects and be responsible for future state process analysis, documentation, solution design, implementation and training/communication of supply chain and operations initiatives
  • Identify improvement opportunities across the supply chain and operations organization, identify the opportunity and build the team roadmap
  • Work cross-functionally with Logistics, Field Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Planning, Product, Customer Support, and Finance teams to define and implement end to end solutions
  • Mentor, develop, and career path a team of three high performers
  • Must have at least seven years of professional experience, with at least three years of experience in a hardware company or supply chain practice
  • Exceptional program and project management skills, including program design (success criteria and measures, workstreams and owners, schedules, dependencies, and structure/cadence), execution, and post-mortem
  • Demonstrated success in project implementation
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to structure quantitative and qualitative frameworks for defining business problems and recommending strategies
  • Strong quantitative modeling skills
  • Ability to conduct primary and secondary research as necessary to understand and balance the needs of disparate stakeholders, including customers, channel partners, cross functional Bevi teams, and others as necessary.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn firsthand how a process works and how it can be improved
  • Effective leadership skills, including the ability to attract, retain, and deliver a high level of performance from a small but very smart and ambitious team
  • Ability to boil off complicated questions to the key dynamics that matter most for the Bevi business
  • Ability to work well with others and lead up, down, and laterally within the org chart. Soft leadership skills are essential.
  • An innate curiosity about the Bevi business and operation: how does it work, how do we measure performance, how can we improve it?
  • Attention to detail and executional follow-through
  • Targeting candidate with between 7-10 years of professional experience, ideally with experience either in an operations, supply chain, or logistics role, or a top-tier management consultancy with supply chain practice experience
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Ability to be in the office 3-4 days per week
