Your Main Quest
We’re hiring an Applied AI Scientist to co-build next-generation workflows for perception AI.
You'll own technical experiments and publish hard evidence around synthetic data for perception and autonomy.
This is a focused, execution-heavy role. You'll collaborate on the vision with the Founders (CEO & CTO), Head of AI, and Product/Engg leaders, do the science, and share it with the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and publish credible evaluations of synthetic data in applied ML tasks
Design and productise the next-generation workflow for perception AI
Collaborate with the biggest perception companies already building with synthetic data
Do the science and communicate it to the world
Build an intuitive understanding of Bifrost's platform, customers and real world applications
Serve as a technical thought partner to the Head of AI and contribute to benchmarks, white papers and cutting edge research

Become a recognised voice of the company in the industry, representing Bifrost at live/virtual events, meetups, and within technical communities
Qualifications:
You can independently design and run high-quality experiments that resonate with real ML teams, driving product and customer decisions
You know how to run good science and explain why it matters
You understand how applied research supports real products and users
You have strong ML fundamentals, especially in computer vision, model evaluation, LLM/VLMs, and data analysis
Strong academic background - PhD or Masters (minimum) in AI, Computer Science or a related field
2-4 years of professional experience with hands-on expertise in AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning in Big Tech or Startups (NOT transitioning directly from academia)
Experience in independently developing benchmarks, authoring white papers, leading research initiatives and presenting at premier conferences in the domain
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to distill complex technical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences

Bonus: Experience in synthetic data, 3D, portfolio of research projects and white-papers, previously held AI roles in Big Tech or Startups
