What we're looking for
We’re looking for a mission-driven Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing team. If you want to play a key role in scaling a new, innovative business through quality assurance, this is the position for you.
This role is responsible for building and maintaining automated testing systems for the Bild web platform. You will also be responsible for mentoring and growing junior SDETs in the team. You will have direct access to leadership across the organization.
What you will do
Develop automated tests for new features in the Bild web platform
Lead testing projects from conception to the finished product
Gather and incorporate feedback from teammates and stakeholders
Plan testing strategies using feedback from customers and teammates
Stay up-to-date on emerging testing technologies
Mentor and grow junior SDETs in the team
Help grow the SDET team and implement testing best practices
Play a key role in shaping the future of Bild
Set up testing frameworks from scratch, with the autonomy to make decisions and implement best practices
Who you are
Experience collaborating with teams across the company(sales, design, development)
Proficient in automated testing frameworks/practices
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, testing and deployment)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and making decisions without all the answers in front of you
Demonstrated track record of success in building testing systems and quality assurance
Experience in B2B products, and productivity/communication tools
Comfortable defining success metrics and making data-informed decisions
Passionate about Bild's mission and the future of the industry
