Job Overview

As the Business Development Specialist & Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities and managing the entire sales process. You will be responsible for conducting market research, generating and qualifying leads, building strong client relationships, and closing deals. This role is tailor-made for an organized sales leader with a strong background in the IT services sales arena. The right individual will have experience working large transactions, as well as working with C-level prospects in the Fortune 1000 and mid-market space. If you have impeccable organizational skills, experience in creating effective sales strategies, and generating and owning opportunities through the full sales cycle from lead to close, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue targets.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiate deals.
  • Monitor sales performance and report on key metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through various channels (networking, cold calling, social media, etc.).
  • Qualify leads to ensure they fit the company's target market.
  • Create proposals and contracts tailored to client needs in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align business development efforts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic business development in a software or consulting services environment.
  • Appetite to eventually build and lead a team of sales professionals
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate sales strategies and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Hunter's mindset to find new leads and bring them to execution.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently.
