Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build and support scalable, secure infrastructure to support various types of applications and databases and system orchestration
  • Provide technology recommendations for specific AWS/Azure infrastructure implementations
  • Work closely with the Senior Cloud Systems Engineers to design and implement controls to ensure safety and accuracy of deliverables, and be confident in demonstrating the value of these controls to clients
  • Take direct responsibility for the implementation of the CI/CD toolchain
  • Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for development, non-dev-non-prod, and production environments
  • Find delivery bottlenecks and areas for performance improvements
  • Perform tasks related to Site Reliability Engineering and other infrastructure/pipeline work as needed to support the overarching Systems team effort
  • Work with the wider Systems Team to enable delivery of client work in all areas of Systems Team capabilities
  • Promote best CI/CD practices
  • Work closely with technical leads to ensure that platforms are designed for continuous delivery and zero downtime
  • Quickly identify trends and patterns, and drive out root causes of complex technical problems, to design and implement appropriate solutions
  • Create and maintain sufficient levels of documentation for the solutions produced
  • Provide assistance/guidance to the other members of the team as needed
  • Assist project teams in enhancing commercial opportunities and mitigating risks
  • Triage and solve service issues
  • Interact with customers and external parties as needed on behalf of the company to assist in technical matters
  • Thoroughly understand BOS Framework’s vision, mission and goals and become an instrument of their accomplishment
  • Positively represent BOS Framework externally and internally, and embrace and promote our core values - whether in a work or social setting
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: You are expected to be a self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of experience working on public clouds: AWS or Azure
  • Certified in AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Shell scripting or Bash scripting
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Rust, Java, Go, Perl or Ruby
  • Experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters and Cloud providers resources
  • Direct experience with provisioning tools such as Ansible
  • Direct experience in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
  • Programming experience in and Java/.Net is a huge plus
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
  • Prior start-up work experience is a huge plus
