We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead our design engineering team within the Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design engineering, with specific experience in the EV industry. This role will oversee the design and development of EV components and systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management:
• Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive team performance and development.
• Develop and implement design strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the design and development of EV components, systems, and complete vehicles.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless project execution.
• Design & Development:
• Lead the creation of design concepts, detailed designs, and engineering specifications.
• Utilize advanced design software and tools to develop innovative and efficient EV solutions.
• Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure the viability and reliability of designs.
• Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality guidelines.
• Implement design validation and verification processes to guarantee the performance and safety of products.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design engineering team to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in EV design and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 16-22 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• In-depth understanding of EV components, systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
