ABOUT THE ROLE


We are seeking a finance professional eager to grow their career into a finance business partner. In this role, you will be aligned to our Lifestyle Brands Supply Chain team and report to an Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager.

In this role, you will develop product level cost of sales (COS), reporting and analyzing manufacturing variances, validating cost savings projects, and supporting various types of ad hoc requests for financial analyses.

To be successful, you will support and collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Commercial Finance functions as well as other cross-functional teams including procurement, planning, logistics, and project managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop accurate product level standard costs in accordance with the Global Costing Methodology.

  • Responsible for COS budgeting, preparing annual burden studies, performing product costing in SAP, and analyzing and presenting year-over-year changes in costs to brand finance.

  • Analyze monthly COS variances, identify/resolve issues and prepare commentary and reporting.

  • Participate in project teams in support of new product launches, product changes and cost savings initiatives by developing COS estimates and financial analysis.

  • monitor cost savings projects and quantify impact to COS to ensure alignment with the Global Cost Savings Policy.

  • Provide financial support to Brand Finance to ensure clear translation of COS from manufacturing to the business P&Ls.

  • Prepare monthly forecast for COS variance accounts.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 2+ years of directly related accounting or finance experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting and variance analyses

  • Experience with standard costing activities in a corporate manufacturing environment

  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner

  • Data driven mindset; accuracy and strong attention to detail

  • Strong excel skills and background and working knowledge of SAP, S4 HANA, BPC

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position will be located at Sam’s West office building in Mt. Pleasant

  • Full Time, Monday through Friday business hours

  • Remote work available one day a week following a 90-day onboarding period

  • This position is not eligible for relocation
