About The Role
The Associate Manager, I&O – Network Engineering/Architecture is a solutions architect and project resource responsible for supporting and optimizing the SCJ global network environment. Reporting to the Lead Network Architect, this role ensures secure, highly available network infrastructure while driving network-related projects across architects, engineers, and managed service providers (MNS/MSS). The role translates high-level designs into implementable solutions, collaborates across enterprise and infrastructure teams, and supports operational processes including change, incident, and problem management. It also contributes to budget, vendor, and resource management while aligning network strategies with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain the global network services portfolio (WAN, LAN, WLAN, voice/data), ensuring high availability, performance, and adherence to design standards.
Manage and coordinate network-related projects, including requirements analysis, design, integration, and on-time delivery.
Contribute to the strategic network roadmap by recommending technologies, tools, and improvements aligned with business needs.
Translate high-level designs (HLDs) into low-level designs (LLDs) and collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure proper implementation.
Partner with Network Operations to define, monitor, and improve SLAs/KPIs, while supporting incident, problem, and change management processes (including CCB participation).
Liaise with Global Information Security and vendors to ensure network security policies, standards, and controls are integrated into all solutions.
Support budget tracking, vendor management, and resource planning, while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and continuously enhance technical expertise through training and self-development.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
5+ years’ experience of progressive experience in the Network Engineering field in an environment similar in scale to SC Johnson.
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Intermediate engineering level skills in the following areas:
Routing and switching
Data Center infrastructure solutions: Cisco (R&S), F5 (LTM, APM, ASM), Palo Alto (NGFW + IDS/IPS functions), Infoblox (DDI), Citrix Netscaler (VDI), Cisco ISE, Campus LAN and WLAN solutions, also implemented on Cisco products, network segmentation and access control in remote offices
Associate-level experience which includes solutions analysis, design, deployment, and operationalization in the following areas:
Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions
Programming/scripting languages and frameworks knowledge and experience, in support of automation (Python, Ansible, etc.)
Additional experience in one or more of the following which includes solutions analysis, design, deployment, and operationalization:
Data Center Automation & Orchestration
IaaS (mainly) / PaaS & SaaS (desirable)
Private Cloud / Hybrid Cloud / Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) inclusive of integration of solutions across these platforms
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Cisco ACI (fabric and overlay network, programmable features, micro-segmentation, etc. - desirable)
Virtualization in the network, security, and overall infrastructure space
Experience leading agile teams (“NetDevOps” characteristics – desirable)
Understanding of infrastructure design and operations (servers, storage, other platforms)
Job Requirements:
▪ Full-time, permanent employment | Onsite work setup (Monday-Friday) | once a week WFH upon regularization
• Must be amenable to working in a mid-shift to accommodate the work hours of the global team (US and EMEA)
• Overtime might be required depending on the critical deliverables
