Boxologic is an MA, Boston-based start-up focusing on e-commerce fulfillment robotics. Using today's standard technology, the average shipped e-commerce package contains 40% void space, resulting in, * at a minimum, a 60% increase in void filler use, * a 15% increase in corrugated fiberboard use, * and a 20% increase in transportation costs. Simply put we are talking about the Amazon-like boxes ends up at our doorstep weekly if not daily. In a nutshell, BOXOLOGIC is developing a robot that instantly creates the right-size box for e-commerce fulfillment. 1. It creates an optimally sized box in less than 20 seconds. Some models can support a production cycle of 10 seconds per box. The input is corrugated stock, the output is fully formed, bottom-sealed box according to the dimensional data provided. 2. It has the smallest footprint available, 50 sqft versus 200 sqft industry average. 3. It creates the lowest corrugated waste. Only 1/7 of the industry average. 4. It has the highest throughput per sqft of floor space. 5. It is the only clusterable machine in the market and can be integrated into compact, scalable output lines to meet the maximum throughput of the largest DCs.
