About Precision OT Network

Precision OT Network is a tech-enabled Occupational Therapy group focused on defensible, functional rehab across multiple payer types—including disability claims, private pay, MVA, employer-sponsored, and extended health benefits. We combine community-based care with technology to streamline documentation, support consistent engagement, and help clinicians focus on outcomes for clients with cognitive, neurological, and psychosocial impairments.

The Role

As an OTA with Precision OT Network, you’ll work under OT supervision to help clients regain function at home, work, and in the community. You’ll implement treatment plans, support functional and cognitive rehab, coordinate equipment and environmental adaptations (including vehicle-related needs when appropriate), and capture clear, timely documentation. You’ll support a variety of referral and payer streams (e.g., disability benefits, private pay, and auto insurance).

Why Join Us?

  • 🚀 Lead with Innovation: Use clinician-friendly tools that streamline documentation and support care planning.
  • 🌱 Mentorship for New Grads: Structured early-career support (weekly 1:1s, case reviews, shadowing, and a graduated caseload).
  • 🕓 Flexible Work Model: Hybrid community + virtual care with scheduling flexibility.
  • 💬 Community & Support: Tight-knit clinical team, paid training, and ongoing professional development.
  • 💸 Competitive Compensation: Top-of-market for strong OTA contributors.

Key Responsibilities

1) Client Assessment & Support (under OT supervision)

  • Assist OTs with intake, functional screens, and information gathering (history, occupational demands, community needs).
  • Observe and report on physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial factors that affect daily function and return-to-activity.

2) Therapy Implementation

  • Carry out OT-developed treatment plans to build strength, coordination, endurance, reaction time, and cognitive strategies.
  • Support ADLs/IADLs, pacing and energy management, return-to-work/role routines, and symptom self-management.
  • Educate clients on techniques, home programs, and use of engagement tools (including our client app).

3) Equipment, Environment & (When Needed) Vehicle Modifications

  • Assist with trials, vendor coordination, and training for adaptive equipment and environmental changes at home/work.
  • When driver/vehicle needs are part of the plan, support OT-led evaluations and client training on adaptive equipment (e.g., seating/positioning; coordination with qualified vendors).

4) Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain timely, accurate notes on sessions, progress, and outcomes in line with privacy and clinic standards.
  • Support preparation of materials required for insurers (disability and auto), legal stakeholders, or employers, as directed by the supervising OT.

5) Client Education, Advocacy & Coordination

  • Educate clients and families on safety, ergonomics, and community resources.
  • Liaise with the interdisciplinary team, community partners, and (where appropriate) insurers/legal professionals, under OT direction.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: OTA/PTA diploma (or equivalent) from a recognized program.
  • New Graduates Welcome (mentorship provided). Prior experience in community or neuro-rehab is an asset.
  • Comfort using technology (mobile apps, digital documentation) in day-to-day care.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and professionalism; able to work independently under OT supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for community visits.
  • Assets: Familiarity with Ontario disability benefits processes and auto insurance (MVA) context; experience with adaptive equipment and workplace/ergonomic considerations.

Work Environment

  • Community visits across Barrie and surrounding areas, virtual sessions, and occasional clinic/office work.
  • Hands-on functional rehab, equipment trials, home/worksite visits; occasional coordination around driver/vehicle needs per OT plan.
