Role
This is a unique opportunity to be our marketing employee #1 and build our brand from the ground up. You’ll be the owner of Bruin’s product narrative, translating deep technical capabilities into crisp positioning, leading strategic product launches, and enabling our product-led growth + sales-assisted motion. This is a hands-on customer-centric role focused on ownership, creative freedom, and direct impact on the business.
What You'll Do
- Shape how the world understands Bruin: translate our technical edge into clear, compelling value that drives awareness and growth across our product portfolio.
- Own and execute go-to-market marketing strategies for new product launches, from early teasing to public release
- Partner closely with the founding team to generate early demand and establish scalable marketing systems
- Craft sales and product enablement materials (pitches, decks, demos, narratives) that bring our value proposition to life
- Collaborate with engineering teams to turn technical insights into engaging stories – from blog posts and guides to talks and case studies
- Continuously test, learn, and refine messaging and channels to strengthen market fit and awareness
Requirements
- 3-5 years in marketing/brand in a startup environment, comfortable with high-pace expectations
- Proven experience building marketing and brand foundations with clear positioning
- Ability to iterate in short cycles to deliver often and quickly, with tangible results from the beginning, in close collaboration with Tech teams
- At least 5 hours of overlap with our team in Berlin
- Nice-to-have: Experience bridging open-source and enterprise worlds - turning community traction into business growth, with familiarity across modern data technologies, e.g. Postgres, Kafka, dbt, Iceberg, ClickHouse)
- Nice-to-have: experience in SaaS / technical products with an analytical and customer-led mindset
