Product Manager, Gig Work
Product
Tallinn, Estonia
About Us
Cachet is building the insurance infrastructure to help Europe's platform economy thrive. Our technology and services are enabling platforms to control risk and prevent loss at scale.
The Role
We're hiring a Product Manager to own Gig Work: building products that solve real problems for people working through digital platforms. Today that centres on gig and on-demand work; over time it extends across the full spectrum of platform-enabled work: Employer of Record (EOR) models, distributed digital workforces, and any marketplace where digital platforms make the exchange of services possible.
You'll be the tactical link between product and engineering, a product person who brings the clarity engineers need to build at speed and with confidence, and who owns the evolution of what's shipped long after it goes live.
You'll set the operating rhythm of Gig Work, from prioritisation through delivery to post-launch iteration, and carry end-to-end ownership of its performance.
You'll report to our Chief Product & Marketing Officer (CPMO) and work closely with engineering, commercial, and insurance.
What You'll Do
• Own the Gig Work roadmap: deciding what gets built and in what order.
• Hold the deepest working understanding of the platform-work landscape: today's gig and on-demand models, emerging structures like EORs and distributed digital workforces, and the insurance and benefits pain points of platform workers.
• Turn problems into engineering-ready work: user stories, use cases, flows, and prototypes clear enough to build from at speed, with clear acceptance criteria and sequenced scope.
• Partner with Product Experience so product-level prototyping flows into their design system and engineering-ready design.
• Keep the operating cadence: live tracking, regular reviews, a current backlog.
• Own features after launch: assess adoption and utility against intent, iterate, and retire what underperforms.
What We're Looking For
• Proven product management experience owning a feature roadmap and shipping products end to end, ideally in a fast-scaling company, min 3-5 years of experience.
• Strong product thinking: you can frame the job-to-be-done, shape a solution, and make the trade-off and priority calls that keep delivery moving.
• A track record of producing problem definitions and prototypes clear enough for engineering to build from at speed.
• Comfort setting and holding an operating rhythm: prioritisation, backlog, reviews, and post-launch measurement.
• Confident operating in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where you build as much as you run.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
Nice to Have
• Experience in insurance, Insurtech,, fintech, or platform/marketplace businesses.
• Familiarity with the gig, on-demand, or platform-work landscape and its regulatory dynamics.
• Experience working across insurance, underwriting, or benefits products.
• Familiarity with cross-border employment models such as EOR.
Work Setup
This is a hybrid role. Our HQ is in Tallinn, where the team works together regularly each week (3 office days), and we value regular in-person collaboration. English is our working language, and EU work authorisation is required.
