About the Role

As a Field Engineer specializing in electrical and instrumentation within the industrial construction sector, you will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of complex installation projects. Working closely with the project management team, you will ensure installations comply with stringent Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards as well as quality assurance protocols. Your role will bridge on-site execution with corporate planning and support functions, enhancing project delivery and operational efficiency. This position requires hands-on expertise in electrical and instrumentation installation complemented by a proactive approach to construction management support. You will engage in project planning, scheduling, commodity tracking, labor analysis, procurement, and cost estimating to contribute to seamless project execution. Collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders is essential to ensure projects meet technical, safety, and budgetary requirements within our global operations.

What you'll do

  • Perform complex electrical and instrumentation installations in industrial construction environments Ensure compliance with all HSE and Quality Assurance and Control standards Provide direct construction management support including project planning and scheduling Track commodities, labor, and equipment necessary for project execution Analyze labor costs and productivity to optimize resource allocation Assist procurement and accounting teams with project-related documentation and estimating activities Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to meet project milestones Identify and report safety hazards, and participate in safety meetings and audits

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation installations within industrial construction Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and quality control practices Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation Proficiency in project planning, scheduling tools and construction management software Strong communication and teamwork abilities Problem-solving skills in fast-paced and complex project environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with commodity tracking and procurement processes Familiarity with labor analysis and cost estimating techniques Understanding of accounting principles in construction projects Experience in global or multicultural work environments
