About the Role

Sonic Drive-In located on Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie, LA is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Shift Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a high standard of service and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will lead a dynamic team through various station duties to meet operational standards, assist in training new employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and cleanliness protocols. Your leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction and smooth shift execution. This role requires strong multitasking, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities within a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for supervising all restaurant activities during your shift, addressing customer and employee concerns, conducting shift meetings, and supporting the team in maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Availability to work at least 30 hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays is essential for this position.

What you'll do

  • Perform, lead, and supervise station duties including fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru as assigned to meet operational standards
  • Assist with new employee orientation and training
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Perform, lead, and supervise cleaning and sanitation including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food prep areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease
  • Lead shift meetings to communicate goals and updates
  • Report customer and employee complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty
  • Handle moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned or required
