About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Washington Hospitality Association plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and administrative functions of the organization. What you'll do
- Manage timely and accurate billing processes for the Association and its affiliates
- Process and post all incoming payments efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile accounts regularly and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Maintain organized, thorough documentation of billing and payment records
- Perform month-end processes including accounts receivable aging review and intercompany reconciliations
- Adhere to internal controls, policies, and standard accounting procedures
- Coordinate volunteer committee activities including record-keeping, meeting planning, and materials preparation
- Track and report Political Action Committee contributions in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support financial audits and assist with related reporting as requested
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and contribute to team cross-training

Nice to have
- Experience with Sage 100 or equivalent accounting software
- Background in bookkeeping or formal coursework in accounting principles
