Role Overview:

They’re seeking a user experience-focused Product Designer to join as their first design hire. In this highly influential role, you’ll define the design direction of the company’s flagship AI-powered product from the ground up, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and customers to create intuitive, elegant, and intelligent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design intuitive, elegant UX flows, wireframes, and prototypes for new AI-powered product features.

• Work closely with engineers to push the boundaries of what’s possible and rapidly deliver product innovations.

• Utilize advanced AI tools for prototyping, designing, and even shipping near-ready code.

• Participate in customer interviews and conduct lightweight user research to deeply understand user problems.

• Contribute actively to product strategy discussions and feature planning.

• Establish foundational design systems, UI patterns, and foster a strong internal design culture.

• Infuse creativity, joy, and innovative thinking into the product, team, and overall vision.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience designing complex digital products in fast-paced environments.

• Strong focus and identity as a user experience designer.

• Comfortable and excited about working with cutting-edge AI concepts, agent-based systems, and modern design tooling.

• Proven ability to independently lead design projects from zero to one with high energy and ownership.

• Highly skilled at rapid prototyping and collaborating effectively with engineers.

• Able to balance intuition-driven design with data-driven adjustments based on user feedback.

• Curious, proactive, and enthusiastic about injecting creative joy into your work.

• Comfortable helping shape brand and visual identity (if desired).

• Preference for in-person collaboration.

Bonus Points:

• Experience designing agent-based products or working with AI-native tools.

• Background in developer tools, productivity software, or systems-thinking products.

• Comfortable with (or eager to learn) AI-assisted coding or prototyping tools.
