We’re looking for a dynamic Automotive Wholesale Operations Lead to drive efficiency and quality in our production process. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our wholesale and remarketing function, building processes and standards, all while getting hands-on in the day-to-day operations - this might mean rolling up your sleeves and washing or moving cars around as needed!
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the charge in our wholesale vehicle operations, making sure cars smoothly transition through the production process through to sale.
- Stay on top of targets, ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly goals are not just met but exceeded.
- Coordinate with all sorts of internal and external stakeholders - building relationships, escalating matters appropriately and looping in the right people.
- Be close to the detail on the ground; inspecting vehicles, coordinating repairs, and ensuring every car meets Carma’s high standards.
- Lead from the front, before the team is built out, you’ll be doing the daily operations (including washing and inspecting cars) and then training staff to do that when they come onboard.
- Run the show on tender days! Make sure the cars are where they need to be and look their best in person and online and manage the logistics and storage of cars pre and post tender.
- Keep the team on track, running meetings, training sessions, and providing feedback to keep us all moving forward.
- Be a problem-solver, tackling operational and strategic challenges head-on and finding innovative solutions.
- Keeping the systems updated with what’s happening on the ground to ensure reporting is covered off.
About You:
- You have at least 3 amount of years in the automotive industry (ideally with some exposure to inspecting or estimating cars).
- You’re an excellent communicator - whether spoken or written, you know how to build relationships and get your point across.
- You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait around for direction - you see what needs to be done and go for it.
- You love a good process and understand the importance of being effective and efficient.
- Tech savvy and comfortable learning new systems.
- A valid NSW drivers licence.

This is a full time (Monday - Friday) position based onsite in Alexandria, Sydney.
