Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our team. This role encompasses financial management, budgeting, and operational efficiency, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, collaborating with senior leadership, and implementing systems to enhance financial performance. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy, supporting our growth, and ensuring sound financial practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close process with outsourced accounting service provider
  • Collaborate with the C-suite to design and manage budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the primary partner for our external CFO, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Establish new programs to optimize financial operations, including expense and vendor management/negotiations.
  • Foster in-house familiarity with current accounting systems (NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex) and drive their effective utilization.
  • Lead the reporting and of internal budgeting processes to support operational efficiency and financial transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Solid accounting skills either closing the books or supporting that process
  • 4-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with a proven track record of managing financial models for teams.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, modeling, and ROI analysis.
  • Ideally, some experience of building finance operations from scratch in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and innovation

Where: Case Status is based in Park Circle in North Charleston, SC. The candidate must be in-office 2 days per week at minimum. This is a hybrid role, although the expectation is that the candidate will be in office every day until ramp period is over and has demonstrated proficiency in the role.

Compensation Range: The salary for this position is between $60K - $70K/year based on experience. Multiple openings are available as of time of job posting.
