About Catalyx Space
We’re building AWS for space - providing in-space experiments and tech demos across LEO, deep space, and lunar orbit. Our offerings include unmanned labs, testbeds for rideshare and dedicated missions, and re-entry capsules for payload return. We simplify access with end-to-end solutions, no minimum mass limits, zero integration fees, and fast deployment (≤6 months), serving biopharma, semiconductors, materials science, defense, and more.
Role:
The Operations team is the company’s cross-functional execution engine for critical internal problems that do not have a natural owner. We identify gaps, implement durable systems, and help ensure the same operational issue does not need to be solved twice.
We are looking for a high-ownership Senior Operations Associate to help build and run internal systems across HR, finance, compliance, legal, and admin. You will work closely with the COO and Finance Head to strengthen the company’s operating foundation.
This is a broad, execution-heavy role with end-to-end ownership across internal processes, documentation, trackers, consultants, and operating workflows.
Key responsibilities:
HR Operations
- Manage hiring coordination including job postings, candidate tracking, interview scheduling, offer letters, joining formalities, and onboarding documentation
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave records, HR files, internal trackers, and employee documentation
- Coordinate payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, reimbursements, salary changes, deductions, and supporting documents
- Support performance review cycles, appraisal documentation, employee confirmations, policy communication, and HR process implementation
- Handle employee exits, clearance documentation, asset handover, and final settlement coordination
Finance & Basic Accounting Support
- Assist with accounting and bookkeeping workflows including vendor invoices, expenses, reimbursements, journal support, and payment reconciliations
- Maintain organized repositories for vendor master data, purchase records, assets, and admin-related records
- Prepare data inputs and supporting documentation for payroll, PT, TDS, GST, and related compliance workflows
- Create and update internal trackers to monitor operational and financial workflows
Statutory, Labour & Factory Compliance
- Maintain compliance trackers for PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishment, and related statutory requirements
- Maintain workplace registers, statutory notices, licenses, renewals, and filing documentation
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and legal partners, including in-person follow-up for filings where required
- Track compliance calendars, ensure timely submissions, and keep records audit-ready
Legal, Admin & Documentation
- Maintain secure repositories for company documents, NDAs, offer letters, statutory records, and vendor, employee, and consultant agreements
- Support drafting, review, and tracking of NDAs, agreements, and standard terms and conditions
- Support office administration, vendor coordination, facility records, licenses, renewals, insurance documents, and internal filing systems
- Create and update SOPs, checklists, and tracking systems across business functions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in management consulting, startup operations, compliance, finance coordination, or a related role
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, payroll inputs, documentation workflows, and basic accounting support
- Working knowledge of statutory compliance, labour law processes, and factory-related compliance requirements
- Familiarity with accounting, payroll, or HRMS platforms such as Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, Razorpay, or Odoo
- Strong Excel skills and comfort managing structured trackers and data
- High ownership, strong execution ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with legal documentation or contract coordination is a plus
Why join us:
- Help build the internal operating backbone of a space-tech company
- Work directly with the COO and Finance Head across HR, compliance, finance, legal, and admin
- Build systems that directly support a fast-scaling hardware startup
Compensation & benefits:
- Competitive salary (details will be shared with shortlisted candidates),
- health insurance
- Provident fund.
