Your Impact
As our Director of HR (North America), you'll be instrumental in scaling our people operations and building our talent pipeline across North America. You'll own the end-to-end employee lifecycle while ensuring we attract and retain top talent in a competitive market. Your expertise in North American employment regulations and talent acquisition strategies will be crucial in supporting our growth while maintaining compliance and creating exceptional employee experiences.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition (TA):

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for roles across North America (US & Canada)
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract top talent
  • Conduct screenings, interviews, and coordinate hiring processes with hiring managers
  • Ensure a seamless candidate experience and manage offer negotiations
  • Utilize ATS and recruitment tools for tracking and reporting

HR Operations (HR Ops):

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with North American labor laws (US & Canada)
  • Manage employee records, HR documentation, and payroll coordination
  • Administer benefits and assist with policy implementation
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations, including immigration, tax, and labor laws

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Operations and Talent Acquisition in North America (US & Canada)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance across North America (US & Canada)
  • Hands-on experience with ATS, HRIS, and recruitment tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of successful full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience managing multi-state/multi-province compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills for recruitment metrics and HR reporting

Good to Have

  • Experience in tech or startup environments
  • HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) are a plus
  • Experience with remote team management and distributed workforce
  • Familiarity with immigration processes and work authorization requirements
  • Background in scaling HR operations during rapid growth phases
