About Certa Certa is a leading provider of AI-powered third-party risk management and workflow automation solutions. Our AI team is at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance vendor onboarding, compliance, and risk analysis.

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager (APM) to join our AI product team. This role will be instrumental in shaping AI-driven features and integrations, working at the intersection of AI, UX, and product strategy. The APM will report directly to a Senior Product Manager and collaborate closely with engineering, design, and sales teams to bring innovative AI solutions to life.

The Role
We are looking for a Configuration Analyst to own and evolve Certa's internal platform — a live deployment of our own product used to power HR, operations, and compliance workflows across the company. This role sits at the intersection of technical platform configuration, AI-powered process automation, and hands-on HR operations.
You will be the internal platform owner — responsible for building and maintaining workflows, ensuring the platform runs reliably, and keeping internal users well-supported. Beyond platform work, you will actively use and leverage AI tools to identify and automate HR and operational processes, and support day-to-day HR operations across the tools and platforms the HR team uses. Ad hoc operational work is a regular and expected part of this role.

What You Will Do

Platform Configuration & Ownership

  • Partner with HR and internal stakeholders to understand needs, workflows, and pain points
  • Design, configure, and maintain HR and operational processes on the Certa platform — including applicant tracking, onboarding, leave management, performance reviews, and compliance workflows
  • Own the internal platform end-to-end: proactively identify issues, assess downstream impact before any change is deployed, and manage releases carefully
  • Maintain clear and current documentation for all configurations, workflows, and integrations
  • Ensure data confidentiality standards are upheld and report any security concerns promptly
  • Integrations & Technical Work
  • Integrate Certa with existing HR and operational systems (e.g., Rippling, payroll tools, ATS) for seamless data flow
  • Build and maintain API-based integrations using JSON and scripting (Python / JavaScript)
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve platform functionality issues — with a preventive mindset over a reactive one

AI-Powered Automation

  • Actively use and leverage AI tools — including LLM-based assistants, automation platforms, and AI-native workflows — as a core part of how you work
  • Identify HR and operational processes that can be automated or significantly improved using AI and drive implementation end-to-end
  • Build AI-assisted workflows such as intelligent document generation, automated notifications, data validation, and decision-routing logic
  • Stay current with emerging AI tools and continuously evaluate opportunities to reduce manual effort across HR and operations
  • Bring an AI-first mindset to problem-solving — default to automation before manual execution

HR Platform Operations & Ad Hoc Support

  • Support day-to-day operational tasks on HR platforms (e.g., Rippling, People Portal, payroll tools) — including employee profile updates, org changes, holiday calendar management, and workflow corrections
  • Manage and execute operational requests from the HR team with urgency and accuracy — including compliance-sensitive tasks such as experience letter generation, onboarding configuration, and access management
  • Handle ad hoc HR operational requests as they arise, balancing these alongside core platform and automation work
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal users experiencing platform-related issues
  • Train and support internal staff on using the platform effectively

You Are a Great Fit If You Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Science (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical configuration, platform, or analyst role
  • Hands-on experience with API (third-party) integrations and working knowledge of JSON
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
  • Genuine knowledge of and comfort with AI tools — you already use AI in your day-to-day work and understand how to apply it to automate real business processes
  • A hands-on, problem-solving mentality — you get things done without waiting to be asked twice
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to testing before deploying
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in a role that balances long-term platform projects with frequent ad hoc operational requests

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Prior experience with no-code platforms
  • Experience in a SaaS configuration, implementation, or solutions engineer role
  • Background in software development — our platform is technically deep and development experience is a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying AI workflows or LLM-based automation in a business context
  • Prior exposure to HR operations, HRIS platforms, or people ops tooling
