About Certa
Certa is a leading enterprise platform purpose-built for third-party risk management, vendor onboarding, and procurement workflow automation. Our no-code/low-code platform enables Fortune 500 companies and global enterprises to digitise and govern end-to-end supplier relationships --- from intake through risk monitoring and off-boarding. Our Professional Services team is central to this mission, delivering transformative implementations that unlock measurable value for clients.

Role Overview
The Engagement Manager is the primary delivery lead on Certa implementations, owning the end-to-end project lifecycle from kick-off through to handover. You work in close partnership with the Solution Architect --- the EM owns delivery structure and client governance, while the SA owns solution design and configuration --- and this tandem model only works when the EM has enough product and design literacy to spot risks and issues before they escalate. You sit at the intersection of client management, structured delivery, and cross-functional coordination --- ensuring that each engagement runs on time, within scope, and to the high standards Certa’s clients expect.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role for an experienced project or engagement manager who brings a consultancy mindset, a deep understanding of TPRM or enterprise SaaS delivery, and the commercial awareness to protect scope while sustaining strong client relationships. You will be comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a high-growth SaaS environment, and energised by the opportunity to help shape and scale best practices across the EMEA Professional Services organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project & Delivery Management
  2. Own the end-to-end project plan across all implementation phases --- kick-off, discovery, design, UAT, go-live, and handover --- holding the team accountable to milestones and timelines.
  3. Proactively identify delivery risks and escalate with a clear remediation plan, not just a problem statement.
  4. Manage scope with rigour --- push back on out-of-scope requests firmly and professionally, ensuring change control processes are followed consistently.
  5. Run structured, action-oriented project governance: status updates, RAID logs, decision trackers, and stakeholder communications that are clear and concise.
  6. Work in close tandem with the Solution Architect --- maintaining a clear and respected division of responsibility (EM owns delivery governance, SA owns solution design) while collaborating tightly to surface risks, align on scope, and keep the engagement on track.
  7. Partner with the CSM at handover, ensuring a clean transition with no open items or unresolved risks left behind.

  8. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  9. Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the engagement --- building trusted relationships at both operational and senior levels.

  10. Set expectations early and directly --- manage scope, feasibility, and trade-offs with transparency, ensuring clients are never surprised.

  11. Run effective status meetings with clear agendas, defined actions, and named owners --- no fluff, no ambiguity.

  12. Know when to resolve independently and when to escalate to the Delivery Director, exercising sound judgement in the moment.

  13. Manage client satisfaction proactively, surfacing risks to the relationship before they become issues.

  14. Practice & Team Development

  15. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management templates, delivery playbooks, and engagement frameworks used across the EMEA PS organisation.

  16. Help drive best practice adoption across the team --- sharing lessons learned, standardising approaches, and supporting less experienced consultants.

  17. Flag resourcing constraints or delivery risks early rather than absorbing them silently.

  18. Collaborate with the Delivery Director on process improvements and operational initiatives that strengthen the overall PS practice.

Required Qualifications
Domain Experience

  • 4+ years in project management, engagement management, or delivery leadership roles within enterprise SaaS, management consultancy, or professional services environments.
  • Background in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), vendor management, procurement, GRC, or a related domain --- either through direct client-side experience or through delivering implementations in these areas.
  • Demonstrable understanding of enterprise vendor lifecycle processes: onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, contract management, and off-boarding.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or DORA is advantageous.

Delivery & Consulting Skills

  • Proven track record managing full-cycle SaaS implementations at complex enterprise clients, from kick-off through to go-live and handover.
  • Experience working within and adapting to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies across concurrent engagements.
  • Strong commercial acumen --- able to identify scope creep, enforce change control, and articulate the commercial implications of delivery decisions.
  • Consultancy background preferred --- comfortable advising clients, shaping delivery approaches, and operating as a trusted advisor rather than simply an executor.
  • Experience helping shape or improve project management tooling, templates, or delivery standards within a PS or consultancy organisation.

Technical Literacy

  • Sufficient Certa product knowledge to understand how workflows, configuration, and integrations fit together --- you don’t need to build it, but you must understand it well enough to identify when a design decision introduces delivery risk.
  • Ability to read and challenge solution design in partnership with the SA --- spotting scope misalignment, client expectation gaps, or technical complexity that could affect timeline or quality before they become live issues.
  • Working knowledge of the TPRM and procurement technology landscape (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust, or comparable platforms) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalents).

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment --- comfortable with ambiguity, able to adapt quickly, and energised by getting things built from the ground up.
  • Proactive by nature --- anticipates problems, drives solutions, and does not wait to be told what to do next.
  • Direct and confident communicator --- able to have difficult conversations with clients and internal stakeholders when needed, without damaging relationships.
  • Highly organised and structured, capable of managing multiple concurrent engagements with competing priorities.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively with Solution Architects, CSMs, and leadership to deliver the best possible outcome for clients and the business.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in EMEA delivery environments, with an understanding of regional regulatory nuances and cross-cultural client management.
  • Exposure to managed services or post-go-live support functions in addition to implementation delivery.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company where the operating model and processes were still being defined.
