About Certa
Certa is a leading enterprise platform purpose-built for third-party risk management, vendor onboarding, and procurement workflow automation. Our no-code/low-code platform enables Fortune 500 companies and global enterprises to digitise and govern end-to-end supplier relationships — from intake through risk monitoring and off-boarding. Our Professional Services team is central to this mission, delivering transformative implementations that unlock measurable value for clients.
Role Overview
The Solution Architect is the primary functional lead on Certa implementations, sitting at the intersection of business consulting and technical delivery. You will translate complex client requirements into scalable platform solutions, own the solution design from discovery through go-live, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders ranging from procurement leads and risk officers to CIOs and CPOs.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role for an experienced consultant who combines deep domain expertise in TPRM, vendor management, or procurement with hands-on implementation skills and a passion for solving complex operational challenges through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end solution design for Certa implementations — translating client TPRM frameworks, risk processes, and business requirements into scalable, best-practice platform configurations.
- Own the solution blueprint and technical design documentation for each engagement, balancing Certa best practices with client constraints and time-to-value objectives.
- Design and configure workflow automation, intake forms, approval routing, risk scoring models, and integration touchpoints — driving towards high-quality, on-time go-live.
- Evaluate client data structures and integration requirements, designing appropriate patterns across APIs, SSO/SAML, ERPs, GRC tools, and procurement systems.
- Lead hands-on configuration and build activities, including workflow design, rules engine logic, and reporting setup — maintaining quality at every project milestone.
- Support and mentor junior Implementation Consultants, providing technical guidance and design reviews.
Client Engagement & Advisory
- Lead discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with client stakeholders across procurement, compliance, legal, IT, and risk functions — guiding customers through the implementation journey with confidence.
- Act as a trusted advisor on best practices for third-party risk management, supplier onboarding, and procurement automation, ensuring the best possible solution design is implemented.
- Facilitate process-mapping and gap-analysis exercises, assessing current-state vendor and risk workflows against Certa’s capabilities.
- Manage client expectations proactively around scope, feasibility, and trade-offs — ensuring a transparent and collaborative engagement experience throughout.
- Produce high-quality solution documentation, configuration guides, and knowledge transfer materials that enable long-term client self-sufficiency.
Practice Development
- Contribute to reusable solution accelerators, templates, and playbooks that improve delivery efficiency across the Practice.
- Stay current on platform releases, emerging TPRM, ESG, and procurement trends, sharing insights across the PS organisation.
- Support continuous improvement of PS methodologies and delivery frameworks in collaboration with the Delivery Director.
Required Qualifications
Domain Experience
- 5+ years in one or more of: Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), vendor/supplier management, procurement, GRC, or supply chain operations.
- Demonstrable understanding of enterprise vendor lifecycle processes — onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, contract management, and off-boarding.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA, or sector-specific requirements (financial services, healthcare).
- Awareness of the TPRM/procurement technology landscape (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust, or comparable platforms).
Implementation Consulting
- 3+ years of hands-on implementation consulting delivering enterprise SaaS or workflow automation solutions, ideally in TPRM, procurement, or related domains.
- Proven track record leading full-cycle implementations from discovery and design through configuration, testing, and go-live at complex enterprise clients.
- Strong experience facilitating client workshops, gathering requirements, and producing solution design artefacts.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies across concurrent engagements.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency configuring no-code/low-code workflow or BPM platforms; experience with Certa or comparable tools (Appian, Pega, Salesforce, ServiceNow) highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of integration patterns: REST APIs, webhooks, SSO/SAML, and data import/export mechanisms.
- Ability to read and interpret JSON/XML; basic scripting or query language experience is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency with standard project and documentation tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalents).
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communicator — able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business context for technical teams.
- Structured analytical thinker with a proven ability to navigate ambiguous, complex challenges.
- Highly organised and self-directed, capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Client-centric mindset with a genuine commitment to delivering value and building long-term trusted relationships.
