Ideally we would love a coach who has some experience and obviously baseball knowledge. The ability to manage a team, including the scheduling, practicing, and communication with the parent piece, is very important. We have had lots of success with people who are teachers and understand planning and implementation. They have to be able to make the time commitment as well as the ability to get to Deerfield independently (transportation). They should be collaborative but also strong leaders who know how to hold young boys to a high standard but speak to them in an age-appropriate fashion.
