Full job description
Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks part-time Assistant Basketball Coaches for the Winter 2024-2025 season. These part-time, seasonal, stipended positions begin in early November and end in late February, although planning and communication outside of the season is required. The season includes a Thanksgiving break, a Winter break, and several other holidays.

Specific qualifications include significant experience participating in and/or coaching competitive basketball. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and collegiate basketball playing experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; embrace and uphold team values (e.g., positive sportsmanship, character, compassion, integrity); have experience in teaching basketball concepts at the beginner and intermediate levels; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; and be able to attend practices and games.

Practices occur on weekdays or 1 – 1.5 hours with times varying between 2:30 and 6:30 PM. There are approximately 8-16 games.

Qualified candidates will also possess intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others’ ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor.

Pay Range: $2,575.00 – $3,710.00 for the season (early November 2024 – late February 2025)
